Dr Susan Marsden is a professional historian widely esteemed for her work in South Australia and Australia-wide.

She has produced more than 40 published histories, recorded oral histories, produced heritage studies, exhibitions, and significance assessments, and presented South Australian history on radio and in public talks.

Her expertise in historical research and interpretation has been developed through a range of national, state and local history posts – including as South Australia’s State Historian – and consultancies, and in voluntary leadership roles in historical and heritage organisations.
