Quarterly Transfer Update, January - March 2025

In the first quarter of 2025, State Records received transfers from the City of Burnside, City of Victor Harbor, Department of Human Services (including Housing SA), PIRSA, Courts Administration Authority, Mount Barker District Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, Hawker Childhood Services Centre, and the Gawler River Floodplain Management Authority.

We have also received records from ten public schools including Urrbrae Agricultural High School, Henley High School, and Murray Bridge High School as part of a special project to transfer school admission registers into the collection. The registers are from schools in both suburban Adelaide and regional South Australia. School admission registers are one of the most popular records in our collection and provide valuable information for many researchers.

Including the admission registers, we’ve received approximately 55 linear metres of records for the collection. From these transfers, fifty-six new series were registered (which means that these are ‘new’ record types for our collection) and seven existing series have been added to.
