State Records of South Australia has an on-line Subscription Service capability on this Internet site.
This capability will allow visitors to our web site to register themselves for automatic notification of changes to:
individual web pages
individual documents on our web site e.g. guides, bulletins, newsletters
general news and events.
Once a customer has subscribed to such a State Records information source, that is updated or changed in any manner, they will automatically receive an email with a link each time this item is updated.
This new facility can be accessed by two methods:
Each web page or document, to which one may subscribe, has both a SUBSCRIBE and an UNSUBSCRIBE button on the web page. On clicking the SUBSCRIBE / UNSUBSCRIBE button, the customer is redirected to this Subscription Services web page with the appropriate item selected.
Alternatively, the customer may select this Subscription Services web page directly.
Both methods require the customer to enter their email address. On their initial entry to Subscription Services, the email address is used to set up the subscription service for them. Thereafter, the email address is used to allow them to access a list of their currently subscribed services and update the entries. Subsequently, the email address is used to notify the customer when the service, to which they have subscribed, has been updated.
As already indicated, the Subscription facility also includes an UNSUBSCRIBE capability to allow any customer to selectively remove themselves from a State Records information source to which they may have subscribed.
