Material from State Records of South Australia which is reproduced or referred to in papers, publications or on a website should be accurately cited. Correct citations will enable other researchers to verify the accuracy of statements you have made, and assist in locating records.
To assist researchers, State Records has produced an information sheet called Citing Archival Records that gives examples of correct citations for records in the State Records collection.
Many of the records in the State Records Collection are under copyright protection. If you are considering publishing any records you have copied from the archives, please read our Researchers and Copyright Guidelines below.
State Records provides public access to archival records in our Research Centres on the basis that they are managed and protected to ensure future availability.
Some items will not be available for viewing at the City Research Centre because of their fragile nature, weight, size or format. In such cases, you may view the item at our Gepps Cross Research Centre.
