Description

Parliamentary Papers contain the Minutes of the Proceedings of the Legislative Council, Votes and Proceedings of the House of Assembly and Papers Ordered to be Printed by Parliament. Papers Ordered to be Printed include petitions to Parliament; contracts awarded; evidence given to various committees; reports to Parliament including annual reports of various government departments, reports of royal commissions, and surveyor's reports; land matters; wills and letters of administration; statistical registers relating to the population of South Australia, births and deaths, immigration and emigration.

Government Gazettes contain a wealth of information relating to most aspects of public and private life. The Gazettes cover a wide range of subjects. Details of appointments, deceased estates, insolvencies, Crown Lands leases of various types, publican's licenses, police appointments, mortuary returns, tenders accepted, local government notices, intestate estates, companies, justices of the peace, partnerships, registration of trademarks, proclamations and resignations are just some of the subjects that may interest a researcher.

Parliamentary Debates Hansard include debates of both the Legislative Council and the House of Assembly and cover every aspect of State Government within South Australia.

Government Publications are available for viewing at the Gepps Cross Research Centre.
