Departures from Port Adelaide

  • GRG 41/35 Lists of outgoing passengers departing from Port Adelaide for overseas ports, 1888-1893, 1896-1940 (order records using ArchivesSearch, no index available)
  • GRG 41/37 Lists of outgoing passengers departing from Port Adelaide for interstate ports, 1911, 1914, 1918-1924 (order records using ArchivesSearch, no index available)

Departures from other ports

  • GRG 41/38 Lists of outgoing passengers bound for overseas from Port Pirie, 1931-1939, Port Lincoln, 1936, Port Germein, 1934 and Wallaroo, 1939 (order records for viewing at a Research Centre through ArchivesSearch, no index available)
  • GRG 41/40 Outwards passenger lists for ships departing from Sydney and Melbourne 1888 - 1900 (order records for viewing at a Research Centre through ArchivesSearch, no index available.) This series contains ten lists only. These passengers did not arrive or depart from Adelaide. How these lists came to be in South Australia is not known.

Note: Names of departing passengers were often published in the newspapers of the day. Newspapers are held by the State Library of South Australia.
