History Trust of South Australia Annual Conference
Since 1991 the History Trust of South Australia has held an annual History Conference and the 17th State History Conference, titled Changing Lives: Changing Places, is being held at Sunnybrae Farm Function Centre, Regency Park from 1-3 August 2008. This year's State History Conference focuses on the history of communities, neighbourhoods and working lives that are disappearing in the face of rapid suburban and technological change and the challenges facing historians, museums and heritage experts in their attempts to record and preserve the past.
The 2008 Annual Conference of the Australian Society of Archivists (ASA) will take place in Perth from 6-9 August 2008. This year's Conference theme, Archives: Discovery and Exploration, is designed to create an outward focus for Australasian Archivists and to blend our own and international experiences of Archives. A significant number of well-known international presenters will be speaking and an industry showcase will also complement the 2008 ASA Conference.
