State Records has made a distinction between training and education.
Accredited training courses have been developed to up-skill records management practitioners in government to more effectively develop and implement their agency's strategic recordkeeping programs and operational systems, tools and practices.
Education courses have been designed to inform all public servants of the need for, benefits, and principles of sound records management practices within the workplace in the context of the South Australian Freedom Of Information Act, 1991, Information Privacy Principles and the State Records Act, 1997.
State Records promotes and supports South Australian Government staff to achieve best practice records management. We offer quality-accredited training to State and Local Government and South Australian universities. Our training assists agencies to achieve Adequate Records Management practices, tools and systems.
State Records ensures its tertiary level training programs do not discriminate against people with disabilities. We are committed to continuously evaluating, reviewing and developing our training and education programs in order to satisfy customer requirements and expectations.
